Hmmm… ‘foolishly’?  I hope there’s not too much of that!

41 years old and still not found my place in life!  I am an aspiring writer.  I make a living as a teacher but my real passion is writing.  Am I any good at it?  I don’t know … I think I have a bit of a natural talent for it, but I definitely need practice.  This blog is for me to practise and hone my writing skills.  Hopefully there’ll be something interesting appearing eventually – fingers crossed!

See the illustration up there on the header?  That’s how I really sit on the sofa with my laptop on my lap (hence the name I guess).  The dog up there is our labrador Banjo.  He really does like fetching the ball, although the ball is usually surrounded by a puddle of drool from his big slobbery mouth.
